School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job in Maine

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join a school in Maine! This is a great opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about helping students build communication skills and has experience working with AAC devices and communication systems.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to students in a school-based setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students IEP goals
• Evaluate students speech, language, and communication needs
• Support students who use AAC devices and other augmentative/alternative communication systems
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other members of the student support team
• Assist with AAC implementation, programming, and carryover across school environments as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with school requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maine SLP license
• ASHA Certification
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
• Experience with AAC devices, including evaluating and supporting students who rely on AAC, strongly preferred
