Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist to provide services in a school setting in Portage, MI. This contract position starts in April and extends through the end of the school year, with a possible extension into summer for Extended School Year (ESY) services. The caseload will include approximately 55 students with emotional impairments, moderate cognitive impairments, and severe impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver therapy to students with diverse needs, including emotional and cognitive impairments.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and procedures.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other educational planning activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Michigan SLP license.
  • School-based experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with pediatric populations and students with special needs.
  • Teletherapy experience is a plus but not required.
