Job Description

A specialized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support pediatric and school-aged populations across multiple grade levels. This contract role is based in Port Townsend, WA, within a school setting, providing essential speech and language therapy services to young learners at various developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children ranging from Pre-K to high school.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and student outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and training to school staff on speech-language development.
  • Support early childhood, elementary (K5), middle school (grades 68), and high school (grades 912) students with pediatric speech and language challenges.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with pediatric clients in educational settings.
  • Expertise in early childhood speech and language development.
  • Ability to develop and adapt therapy techniques for diverse age groups, including Pre-K and elementary.
  • Strong communication skills and collaboration experience within school teams.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in speech-language pathology in schools.
