This contract, onsite opportunity allows you to work with a dedicated team, helping students develop vital speech and language skills in a nurturing educational environment. The position focuses on providing services within an elementary school setting to students ages 3-5, including those enrolled in developmental preschool. The work schedule is full time, ensuring you have the ability to create meaningful, ongoing connections with your students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Washington SLP License
- WA Educator Certification (ESA required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Prior knowledge of teletherapy or relevant healthcare environments is a plus
- Candidates with CFY status are welcome to apply
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage caseload of 3-5 year old students, focusing on early childhood communication skills
- Conduct Child Find evaluations, participate in eval results meetings, and support IEP documentation and meetings as needed
- Provide direct intervention to preschool and Kindergarten-transitioning students, as determined by caseload
- Deliver itinerant services when required, adapting to diverse student needs and campus locations
- Collaborate effectively with educators, caregivers, and other specialists to support each childs growth
