Job Description

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Washington or eligibility to obtain
  • Clinical experience within pediatric and school-based settings preferred
  • Competence in developing and implementing therapy for Early Childhood, Kindergarten, Elementary (K-5), Middle (6-8), and High School (9-12) students
  • Adept at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with communication, language, and speech disorders across Pre-Kindergarten through high school
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide therapy services in accordance with educational and clinical standards
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate communication goals within classroom activities
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes to monitor student development
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and multidisciplinary team conferences
  • Adapt therapy techniques and modalities for students diverse developmental needs and backgrounds
