Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise in speech-language pathology transforms lives. This on-site position, commencing August 10, 2026, and running through May 28, 2027, is tailored for dynamic, dedicated SLPs eager to support a diverse Pre K-12 population in Jacksonville, FL. Youll play a critical role across multiple school sites as an itinerant therapist, providing vital services to students with mild-to-moderate communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida Department of Health SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Experience working in school settings is highly desirable
- Ability to manage an estimated caseload of 60 students (size and makeup subject to change)
- Familiarity with assessments, IEP development, and goal tracking for Pre K-12 students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Background fingerprint clearance required via the AHCA Clearinghouse (assistance provided for verification or re-printing as needed)
- Willingness to travel between assigned school locations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language services on-site in schools
- Conduct student assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Accurately document services and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Provide support for mild to moderate needs across a variety of age groups
