Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Active Florida SLP license and ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly desired
  • Solid knowledge of IEP process and documentation best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, to address speech and language goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teaching staff and families
  • Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and documentation in accordance with school guidelines
  • Provide support and guidance for classroom teachers regarding speech and language strategies
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students
