Make a meaningful impact in K-8 education, working onsite with a diverse group of students in a supportive school environment near Pompano Beach, FL. This contract role is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY), or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), passionate about helping students thrive in their communication and academic skills.
In this position, you'll provide speech and language services across 2-3 days per week, supporting approximately 40 students in grades K-8. You'll collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create and deliver targeted interventions that foster speech and language development in a dynamic school setting.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid Florida SLP or SLPA license (required)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatrics and school settings
- Skilled in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for speech and language disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct direct speech-language therapy sessions for a K-8 caseload
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Assess, track, and document student progress
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families for comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
