Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (or Clinical Fellowship candidates considered)
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices and individualized student care
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload across various ages and developmental levels

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Provide direct therapy services and consultative support within classrooms
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of progress and service delivery
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom strategies
  • Foster an inclusive, positive environment that encourages student growth
