Job Description

This position primarily serves PreK to 1st grade students with speech-only needs, providing therapeutic support and collaboration with a dedicated team. Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, particularly PreK through 1st grade
  • Familiarity with IEP development, Easy IEP software a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility for both onsite and potential virtual service delivery

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 12-15 students
  • Work within a supportive, shared speech therapy room alongside fellow SLPs
  • Develop and implement individualized IEPs, attending meetings and maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Document and monitor student progress using monthly minutes, ensuring thorough record-keeping and reporting
  • Contribute valuable expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimize student outcomes
