Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility for Illinois licensure)
- Previous experience in a school environment or with K-12 populations preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and deliver targeted treatment plans and interventions tailored to each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students educational goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise, and advocate for student needs
- Offer training and resources to staff and families to help reinforce communication strategies
