Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility for Illinois licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school environment or with K-12 populations preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
  • Develop and deliver targeted treatment plans and interventions tailored to each student
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students educational goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and legal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise, and advocate for student needs
  • Offer training and resources to staff and families to help reinforce communication strategies
