Job Description

This full-time opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is based in Plainfield, Illinois, serving a K-12 school community. The role is contracted for the school year, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment to make a positive impact on students' communication and developmental progress.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • State of Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License
  • Experience working with diverse student populations across general education and specialized programs
  • Strong skills in speech and language evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and collaborative consultative services

Location:

  • Plainfield, IL K-12 school setting

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload that includes high school general education students, early childhood and elementary autism programs, elementary multi-needs, emotional disturbance/behavioral disorder, transition programs, self-contained autism classes, and multiple elementary grade levels
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services as well as onsite or virtual consult (VOCO) support to students and staff
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective speech and language intervention plans
  • Utilize best practices and evidence-based techniques to facilitate communication development in diverse learner groups
