As a Speech Language Pathologist, youll support elementary and secondary students in reaching their full communication potential while enjoying the support of a collaborative educational team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLP license/certification in New Mexico
- Current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience working in school settings, with both elementary and secondary age groups preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Dedication to working collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in both elementary and secondary grades
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide comprehensive treatment for a diverse caseload
- Work closely with educators, staff, and families to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and set measurable goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Provide recommendations and resources for classroom strategies and accommodations
- Stay current on evidence-based practices and developments in speech-language pathology
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for all students
