Required Skills and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid SLP licensure in Pennsylvania (or eligibility pending)
- Prior experience with pediatric populations, especially within schools or similar environments
- Knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and delivery of therapy services
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate approach tailored to the unique needs of each student
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, documenting results clearly
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct therapy to students individually or in groups to support communication and language growth
- Monitor progress and regularly update records, adjusting interventions as needed
- Consult with teachers and parents to provide strategies for ongoing student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute observations and recommendations, and provide resources to caregivers and faculty
- Stay current on best practices, compliance measures, and continuing education requirements
