Job Description

An opportunity is available for qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to provide essential services in a K-12 school setting in Phenix City, AL. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a full-time schedule with approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • SLP candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy and school-based settings.
  • Proficiency in teletherapy delivery is beneficial.
  • SLPA candidates should have relevant school experience.
  • Ability to work with a caseload of up to 67 students across multiple schools.
  • Adaptability to indirect hours for administrative duties and team meetings.
  • Familiarity with K-12 IEP systems; training is provided upon onboarding.
  • Must meet all credentialing and clearance requirements for school entry.

Location:
Phenix City, Alabama
Work involves assignment across 2 to 3 schools within the district, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting speech and language evaluations and providing individualized therapy services.
  • Collaborating with educators and families to support student communication goals.
  • Maintaining compliance with IEP documentation and district protocols.
  • Participating in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  • Providing supervision as applicable and working within district guidelines.
