Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
  • Experience or strong interest in school settings, particularly with pediatric and adolescent populations
  • Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and development of individualized treatment plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students from elementary through middle school
  • Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations; develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to tailor interventions to student needs
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and school guidelines and policies
