This contract position is tailored for Speech-Language Pathologists holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Youll collaborate with students, families, and school staff as an itinerant SLP, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current California licensure or eligibility
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Comfortable working across multiple school sites as an itinerant therapist
- Adaptable to caseload or workload models (as determined by the district)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to a diverse student population
- Assess, diagnose, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to support students educational and social success
- Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration sessions, with administrative and indirect time included
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in alignment with the districts IEP system (training provided)
- Utilize dedicated spaces for therapy sessions, as available
- Travel between assigned schools with mileage reimbursement provided
