Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-5 students at a single elementary school site near Peoria, AZ. As a contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), youll be instrumental in helping children develop vital communication skills. This full-time position runs ASAP through May 22, 2025, with a steady 40-hour week and an average caseload of 55 students.

What youll need:

  • Active Arizona Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Valid Arizona Department of Health SLP License
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain and maintain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based experience or a strong commitment to serving K-5 students
  • No consideration for Clinical Fellows (CFYs) or SLPAs

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students
  • Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, voice, and language impairments
  • Interpret evaluation results to determine the best intervention strategies
  • Validate external evaluations and recommendations as needed
  • Develop, implement, and regularly monitor students IEPs
  • Create individualized therapy programs tailored to student needs
  • Guide teachers in observing/referring students with suspected communication disorders
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals
  • Maintain communication and support for parents and families
  • Ensure accurate documentation and ongoing records for each student
  • Take on additional related duties as assigned
