This contract, onsite position offers a supportive setting, working closely with a collaborative educational team to empower young learners and help them achieve their communication goals.
As a valued contributor three days per week, youll work 22.5 hours weekly within an elementary caseload. Your expertise enables students to develop essential language and speech abilities, while you enjoy a balanced work schedule with time to focus on your personal pursuits.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current Illinois SLP License (required)
- Any additional state or district-mandated credentials (such as Professional Educator License if applicable)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to onsite work within the local school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with all state and school policies
- Participate in meetings and share insights to enhance student learning outcomes
