Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Speech Language Pathologist license for Rhode Island
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
- Strong foundation in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of speech and language disorders
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and participate in IEP meetings
- Skilled in collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in groups, in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct thorough assessments and re-evaluations to determine students communication needs
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each childs strengths and challenges
- Maintain detailed session notes, progress reports, and compliance paperwork
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and caregivers on student progress
- Attend meetings and professional development sessions as required
- Support a positive, encouraging learning environment that fosters growth
