Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available in Tiverton, RI, specializing in middle school-aged students. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, spread over 5 days, focusing on delivering expert speech and language therapy services within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in middle school students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Rhode Island
  • Experience working as an SLP in school settings, especially with pediatric and adolescent populations
  • Familiarity with clinical fellowship year (CFY) procedures and pediatric speech pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
