Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by providing speech and language therapy services to students in a vibrant educational community near Paterson, NJ. This contract position offers both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time (25 hours/week) roles, with five positions availableserving primarily high school students, as well as opportunities in PreK-K and elementary levels.

The school-based setting is supportive and collaborative, with all positions being onsite. Responsibilities will include working with students across various grade levels and schools to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in accordance with each student's individual education plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license or eligibility in New Jersey with CCC or CFY status
  • NJ School Certification required
  • Experience or specialized interest in healthcare, pediatrics, and/or school-based speech-language pathology
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents for optimal student outcomes
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and intervention services to assigned caseload
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
  • Consult with classroom teachers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students' communication needs within the school setting
