Job Description

A contract Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available working with preK students in a school setting located in Paterson, NJ. This role supports a caseload of approximately 13 students, focusing primarily on early childhood communication development with a preference for candidates experienced in autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver interventions tailored for preK learners
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress and communication goals
  • Document and track student progress in compliance with school policies and professional standards

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure is required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder and associated communication challenges is a strong advantage

Work Schedule:

  • 35 hours per week, 5 days per week, consistent weekdays
