Job Description

A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a leave replacement position at a K-12 school located in San Luis Obispo, CA. This contract opportunity runs from October through mid-December 2025 (until winter break) and offers approximately 21 hours per week over three days. The role supports students from Pre-K through 12th grade, addressing a variety of disabilities within the school setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations and assessments to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Participating actively in IEP meetings
  • Providing direct speech and language therapy services tailored to each student's needs
  • Delivering indirect services such as consultation and collaboration with teachers and families

Candidate qualifications:

  • Hold a valid CA Speech-Language Pathology license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
  • Possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings, preferably with diverse caseloads
  • Strong knowledge of teletherapy is a plus but on-site presence is required for this position
  • Ability to manage evaluations, therapy sessions, and compliance with school-based documentation
