Desired Background and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP license in Texas
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage caseloads and adapt to diverse student needs
- Strong organizational skills and a positive, student-centered attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group formats
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student communication goals in the classroom
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional input for student success
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in the field
