If youre passionate about supporting K-12 students in speech and language development, this contract opportunity near Rock Hall, MD offers a rewarding and collaborative school setting. Working with a responsive and supportive district, youll have the chance to make a meaningful impact via onsite or teletherapy services for a mixed K-12 caseload. This position welcomes experienced SLPs as well as new graduates completing their CFY.
Qualifications:
- Valid MD SLP License required
- ASHA CCC or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology (schools, healthcare, or teletherapy)
- Strong ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for mixed caseloads across K-12 grades
- Proficient in documentation and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to working within school teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments, diagnosis, and direct therapy to students in areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and AAC
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Utilize teletherapy technology as needed to ensure all students receive service
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust intervention plans accordingly
- Attend relevant meetings, participate in IEP teams, and provide support and training to staff as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based practice
