Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCCs preferred)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly desired
- Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and speech disorders in children
- Strong documentation, time management, and communication abilities
- Commitment to collaboration with fellow educators, families, and related service professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs, utilizing individualized and evidence-based approaches
- Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate on IEP goal development
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes for each student served
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Offer consultative support and resources to teachers and families, ensuring a holistic approach to student growth
- Stay current on best practices and legal requirements for speech-language services in educational environments
