Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Park Ridge, IL, offering a school-based contract-to-hire position. This role focuses on providing speech and language services to students ranging from 5 to 22 years old within a district-wide model, assigned to a single school site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to individual student needs
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility and monitor progress
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and team meetings
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reports in a timely manner
  • Provide compensatory services when applicable for full-time commitments

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience working with school-aged populations is essential
  • Ability to serve students district-wide while working independently at one site
  • Strong skills in assessment, therapy implementation, and documentation practices
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License and Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Fingerprinting clearance must be obtained prior to starting
  • Candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply; virtual supervision is provided for CFs

Position Details:

  • Contract assignment through May 29, 2026, with immediate start available
  • Part-time (1114 hours per week) with flexible scheduling; full-time available if willing to provide compensatory hours
  • Caseload-based model with one opening currently available
