A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available in a K-12 school located in Park Ridge, IL, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity through the upcoming school year (CSY) ending May 29, 2026. This position is designed for professionals experienced in school-based speech-language pathology, including those who are licensed and certified, as well as newly credentialed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates.
Key qualifications include:
- Experience working with school-aged populations
- Ability to serve students district-wide with strong skills in assessment, therapy, and documentation
- Capacity to work independently at a single school site (non-itinerant)
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License and Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to start
The role involves:
- Providing direct speech-language therapy to students ages 522
- Conducting assessments and evaluations
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and meetings
- Completing necessary documentation and reports
- Delivering compensatory services for full-time candidates, if applicable
This position offers flexibility with part-time hours (1114 hours per week), with full-time availability depending on willingness to provide compensatory services. Scheduling is flexible based on mutual agreement. Virtual supervision is provided for CFY candidates to support their professional development.
