Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current and valid SLP licensure for Alaska (or the ability to obtain before start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFY candidates will also be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable, though strong clinical skills in other settings are welcome
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in groups
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate, confidential student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student success
