Step into a dynamic environment serving students in the Palm Desert area! Multiple Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for contract positions for the 2025-2026 school year. Assignments will cover several schools, engaging a varied student population, and will encompass all typical aspects of school-based speech-language pathology.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in conducting IEP meetings, evaluating students, and delivering both direct and indirect therapeutic services. While age and grade-level assignments will be finalized closer to the start of the school year, versatility and adaptability are essential as caseloads may include a diverse range of student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active California SLP license or CA CTC required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience with pediatric and school-based populations preferred
- Proficiency conducting evaluations, writing IEPs, and implementing treatment plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Reliable, flexible, and self-motivateddistrict supervision such as para or CNA will not be provided
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services across assigned schools (multiple sites possible)
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and contribute to IEP team meetings
- Provide direct and consultative services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Maintain thorough, timely scheduling and documentation in accordance with district protocols
- Adjust interventions and approaches to best serve the evolving needs of students
- Engage in ongoing communication with students, families, educators, and other specialists
