Key qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy services in group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Offer training, resources, and strategies to educators and caregivers that facilitate communication development in the classroom
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on best practices
