Job Description

A School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support elementary students in grades K-5 in Owosso, MI. This position offers a chance to work directly with young learners in a school environment, helping to improve their communication skills and support their academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in grades K-5.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assess student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development in early childhood.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a school team setting.

Location:

  • In-person role based in Owosso, Michigan.

Schedule and Contract Details:

  • Full-time position at 37.5 hours per week, with part-time candidates also considered.
  • Contracted through the remainder of the current school year.
