Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for grades K5. This in-person role is based near Owosso, MI, and is available full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with consideration for part-time candidates who may need flexibility. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment and therapy techniques for articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic/social communication disorders
  • Able to develop IEP goals and maintain thorough documentation in line with school and legal expectations
  • Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Comfortable with in-person service delivery

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for students requiring speech and language services in the elementary setting
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aligned with students IEPs
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, regularly monitor progress, and engage families in student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input as an integral member of the support team
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Manage and submit required paperwork and progress reports accurately and on time
