Job Description

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid New York SLP license or eligibility to obtain one before the assignment start
  • Experience in K-12 school environments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to adjust to varying caseloads and school needs
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
  • Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies
  • Track and document student progress, providing timely updates to educators and families
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student success
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and implementation
  • Provide guidance and resources to families and school staff regarding speech-language supports
