Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Relevant experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication development in children
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation procedures
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Compassion, patience, and a passion for helping children succeed
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students referred for speech and language concerns
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans consistent with each students needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Provide direct therapy services individually or in small groups as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress, session notes, and required compliance paperwork
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing professional development
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and families regarding communication strategies and tools
