Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist working onsite with elementary-aged students (PreK-5th grade). In this contract position, youll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students reach their full communication potential, making a tangible difference in their daily lives.

Your expertise will be highly valued as you assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, develop individualized education plans, and track student progress. A strong understanding of pediatric SLP best practices in a school setting will serve you well as you provide consultative support and direct intervention. As a full-time team member, youll engage with a diverse caseload and foster a positive, supportive learning environment for every child you serve.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active SLP license in Kansas
  • Current Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience in pediatric and school-based settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language screenings and comprehensive evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Consult with teachers and educational staff to support classroom integration
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach
  • Stay current with best practices and participate in professional development
