Job Description

This contract position focuses on supporting preschool through 2nd-grade students during a leave of absence, with a work period running from October to January. Youll work in a collaborative educational setting, providing essential therapy and assessment services that help children reach important milestones.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid IL SLP-CCC and an active IL PEL (Professional Educator License)
  • Skilled in delivering speech-language services in schools, including direct therapy, assessments, and evaluations
  • Experience or strong interest in working with preschool and early elementary-aged children
  • Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates who meet credential requirements
  • Knowledge of caseload management and school documentation practices
  • Proficient in IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to students, mostly preschoolers, with some caseload through 2nd grade
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations as required by student needs and IEPs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational teams to support student goals
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school district standards

This contract offers a consistent weekday schedule, from 8:003:15, totaling 33.75 hours per week, giving you time to engage meaningfully with students while maintaining work-life balance.
