Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting K-12 students in a vibrant public charter school setting near Chicago. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to provide quality services on a part-time basis2.5 to 3 days per week. Youll work with a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families to help students achieve important communication milestones.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience with school-aged populations, including students from kindergarten to high school
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a public charter school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and interpret results
- Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Provide guidance to teachers and parents for generalization of skills
