Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across early childhood through 8th grade for the new school year. This in-person role starts mid-August and continues through late May, providing speech-language services to a total caseload of 70 students, split between two professionals. Expect approximately 33.75 hours weekly, with one full-time and one .5 FTE SLP collaborating to deliver high-quality interventions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • License as a Speech-Language Pathologist through IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with other professionals, students, and families
  • Must have your ISBE number available for onboarding

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students from early childhood through 8th grade
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and families to support student learning and communication
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student services
  • Adhere to union guidelines and all district protocols
