Make an impact supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a K-12 setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity calls for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for helping children and adolescents reach their communication goals. The position is based onsite and offers 32.5 hours per week, making it ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative, school-based environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or eligibility
- Background in pediatric speech-language pathology within a school setting
- Experience providing teletherapy services considered a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledgeable in assessment, intervention, and documentation for K-12 caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to a diverse K-12 caseload, both individually and in group settings
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document progress
- Utilize therapy tools and evidence-based practices to support student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and team conferences
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment where students can thrive
