Job Description

This contract opportunity, based near Orchard Park, NY, runs from July 6th through August 14th, with a consistent schedule of 27.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:15am2:15pm). Youll make a measurable impact in a supportive school environment, working hands-on with a dedicated elementary caseload.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid New York SLP license required
  • Completion of SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families
  • Passion for helping children reach communication milestones

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Educate families and school staff on strategies to support students
  • Adapt interventions to meet diverse learning needs
