Step into a rewarding role providing essential speech-language pathology services to elementary students. This contract opportunity, based near Orchard Park, NY, runs from July 6th through August 14th, with a consistent schedule of 27.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:15am2:15pm). Youll make a measurable impact in a supportive school environment, working hands-on with a dedicated elementary caseload.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid New York SLP license required
- Completion of SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families
- Passion for helping children reach communication milestones
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Educate families and school staff on strategies to support students
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse learning needs
