Job Description

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a K-12 school setting in Orchard Park, NY. This contract position is available for the current school year, providing an excellent opportunity to support students with diverse communication needs.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid SLP certification/license suitable for school settings
  • Expertise in delivering speech and language therapy to K-12 students
  • Strong background working with school-age populations
  • Experience with educational assessments and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies is a plus
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and document progress regularly
  • Provide consultation to teachers and parents to support communication development
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal education regulations
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance student outcomes

Contract Duration: Current school year (CSY), full-time schedule
