Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their communication development in a dynamic school-based environment. This contract opportunity is designed for ASHA-certified Speech Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) who are passionate about delivering services to a diverse Pre K-12 population. Starting August 10, 2026 through May 28, 2027, youll work onsite across multiple schools within the Jacksonville, FL area, providing direct therapy, collaboration, and evaluation services.
Key Qualifications:
- Current FL Department of Health SLP licensure (CCC).
- Prior school-based experience preferred, with strong knowledge of mild to moderate disability populations.
- Comfortable working as an itinerant SLP supporting a varied caseload (estimated 60 students, subject to confirmation).
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, teachers, and families.
- Must complete Florida fingerprinting requirements; familiarity with the AHCA Clearinghouse a plus.
- Dedicated to evidence-based practice and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and intervention to students from Pre K through 12th grade.
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to create tailored treatment plans.
- Offer staff and parent consultations as needed to maximize student support.
- Adapt to multiple assigned school sites in an itinerant model, as locations are finalized.
This is a full-time contract role at 35 hours per week (7 hours per day), providing the chance to nurture your clinical skills while working in a school setting.
