Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an engaging educational setting in a contract opportunity stretching through June 2026. Enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students while working with supportive colleagues in a collaborative school environment near Orange City, FL.
Youll spend four days each week at Ormond Beach Elementary (three days) and Pine Trail Elementary (one day) for this school year, transitioning to a five-day schedule at those schools next year. For 2024-2025, clinicians with a bachelors degree willing to obtain a temporary teaching certificate (rather than an SLPA license) are encouraged to apply. Additionally, work four days a week at Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange. Full-time hours and ongoing supervision for Clinical Fellows (CFs) are available, creating an ideal role for both seasoned providers and those early in their career.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
- SLP-CCC strongly preferred; willing to supervise CFY candidates
- For Ormond Beach/Pine Trail: Bachelors-level clinicians accepted if eligible for temporary teaching certificate
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings desirable
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Partner with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student services and educational needs
- Supervise and guide fellow clinicians as needed
