Job Description

Seeking passionate speech-language professionals to make a real difference in K-12 student lives! This contract opportunity focuses on delivering speech-language therapy services across 2-3 school sites in a supportive district setting near Opelika, AL. Ideal candidates bring expertise in evaluation, intervention, and progress monitoring for a caseload of approximately 67 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Teletherapy skills, pediatric SLP experience, and school-based backgrounds are highly valued.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or completion of an SLPA program
  • Active state licensure as SLP-CCC or SLPA, with credentials current and in good standing
  • Prior school-based or pediatric caseload experience preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Experience or comfort with teletherapy platforms a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to a diverse student population
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to develop and implement IEPs
  • Utilize established district IEP systems (training provided)
  • Travel between assigned sites; itinerant travel is paid
  • Maintain timely records and progress reports according to district standards
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to interdisciplinary planning
  • Support or provide supervision as required (guidance provided)
