Job Description

Providing specialized speech-language pathology services for students is a critical role that directly contributes to their academic success and personal growth. This opportunity is for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to work within K-12 school settings, offering comprehensive support to help students develop essential communication skills.

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Position Type: Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week
Student Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade

Qualifications:

Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
Experience in school-based speech therapy preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and educators
Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans

Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure appropriate student support
Document student progress and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
Utilize evidence-based strategies tailored to each student's unique needs
