Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students in the greater Chattanooga area as a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role begins August 5, 2026, and runs through May 19, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. You'll collaborate closely with campus staff to deliver vital speech and language services, helping young learners access their education and reach communication milestones.

As assignment details are finalized, anticipate working with elementary-age students, though caseload specifics and school assignments may vary to best serve district needs. Embrace a dynamic, supportive environment with a strong network of professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
  • Possess a current DOE certification as an SLP
  • Previous school-based experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech/language intervention for school-age children
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing caseloads and school assignments

  • Assess students for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized plans (IEPs) to support student progress
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
  • Provide both individual and group therapeutic services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute your expertise to support holistic student success
