Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Kansas for SLP practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFYs considered
- Previous experience in K-12 school settings or working with children/adolescents valued
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and group formats
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to monitor progress and promote student success
- Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and IEP documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team collaborations
- Provide consultative support to teachers and support staff regarding strategies for improving communication in the classroom
