Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for SLP practice in Alabama
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with goal-setting, IEP processes, and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals
- Deliver direct therapy services in individual or group settings per IEP requirements
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports compliant with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making
- Incorporate innovative, evidence-based therapy techniques into daily practice
