Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract role as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a welcoming and collaborative district near Oceanside, CA. This opportunity is designed for clinicians who are passionate about fostering communication skills and making a lasting impact in the school setting. Work closely with students and educational teams across two sites, dedicating 37.5 hours weekly over five days.
Qualifications:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in schools is a strong asset; however, new SLPs or those eager to make a difference with school-aged populations are encouraged to apply
- Commitment to student-centered care and a drive to help children achieve their communication goals
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Openness to work with a variety of student abilities and backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Facilitate both individual and small group therapy sessions across K12 grade levels
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to maximize student progress
- Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and share expertise to support student success
- Utilize teletherapy platforms when appropriate
