Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting during the Extended School Year (ESY) contract period. This position is ideal for a candidate passionate about working with children across various developmental stages and focused on delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify students speech, language, and communication needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique needs
  • Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to support students' communication goals
  • Providing direct therapy to students in a school environment
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of student progress and services provided
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to program development

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Professional Credential: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) preferred
  • Eligible for or holding a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) credential or equivalent
  • Experience working within pediatric settings and healthcare environments is beneficial
  • Background in school-based SLP services and familiarity with K-12 educational requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student populations

Location: Oceanside, CA

This is a contract role specifically for the ESY term, focusing on supporting student communication development during the summer months within a school environment.
